Fresh fruits are storehouses of nutrients and diabetics cannot simply stay away from them. Moreover, diabetics have a tough time in taming their sugar cravings. Check the following low sugar fruits that would maintain the required nutrient supply without spiking your blood sugar levels.

• Lemons with high Vitamin C good for diabetics.

• Avocado is indeed very low in sugar containing one gram sugar in one fruit.

• Strawberries low in sugar but high in sugar content. Half a cup of these berries would be highly satisfying.

• Tart cherries have low glycemic index and are rich in antioxidants.

• Peaches with Vitamin A and C is a good metabolism booster

• Blackberries rich in antioxidants.

• Grapefruit, another citrus fruit with high Vitamin C and fiber and less sugar

• Kiwis

• Watermelon rich in antioxidants, fiber and iron and a great food to consume in summer. Half cup of diced watermelons would be good for you.

• Oranges are high in Vitamin C and comparatively low in sugar.

low sugar organic products: strawberries, kiwis, rhubarb, lemons (NOT Meyer), melon, grapefruit, apples, pears, peaches, and fruits. These are only a couple of my undisputed top choices.
