I personally love to buy Mahindra XUV500 instead of Creta due to my trust on Mahindra than Hyundai.

Other reason is resale value of Mahindra is always higher than Hyundai.

The all new updated Mahindra XUV500 has become talk of the town and this beast is turning heads in the Indian market. The XUV500 is one of the best selling SUVs in the Indian market and has a massive fan following. Many buyers compare the XUV500 with the Hyundai Creta, which is also a high selling SUV in the market. If you’re planning to buy something between the new Mahindra XUV500 and the Hyundai Creta, below is the comparison that would help you to choose wisely.

1. Value for money

The Creta ranges from Rs. 9.29 lakhs to Rs. 14.6 lakhs. The XUV500 range starts from Rs. 12.32 lakhs and goes up to Rs. 18.98 lakhs. The XUV gets many extras for the additional price. There is an extra row of seats that can accommodate two extra people.

2. Performance

The Hyundai Creta is available with three engine options. There is a 1.4-litre diesel engine, 1.6-litre diesel engine and 1.6-litre petrol engine. The Creta 1.4-litre diesel churns out a maximum power of 89 Bhp and 220 Nm. On the other hand, Mahindra has updated the diesel engine of the facelifted XUV500 in India. It is available with the same 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that generates a maximum power of 153 Bhp and 360 Nm.

3. Capabilty

The Creta is available only with the Forward Wheel Drive option. There is no AWD option in India. The XUV500 gets both 4X2 and 4X4 options.

4. Solid Looks

Mahindra XUV500 has a massive buyers due to its solid looks and road presence, all thanks to its bigger dimensions and brute design. The Creta offers a very sober grille but it doesn't look very aggressive on the road.
