As we all are struggling to survive in this COVID - 19 pandemic condition. China reported a new infectious disease caused by a tick-borne virus.
This Tick-borne virus has already infected 67 people and killed 7. According to the Chinese media that the infection has been transmitted from ticks to humans. This has been identified as "Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS)".
SFTS is not new, it was first reported in 2009 in Cental China also. This virus belongs to the Bunyavirus category, which is a family of arthropod-borne and rodent-borne viruses.
High fever, cough and cold, headache, low counts of platelets are the symptoms of this disease. If people remain cautious, there is no need to be panic over such virus - According to doctors.
