There many many varieties of rice all over the world. Mainly, white rice is grown and cooked in India. Japan uses sticky rice in it's dishes. Sushi is a good example of the use of sticky rice. In Bhutan, red rice is grown all over. No meal is complete in Bhutan without eating red rice. Recently, Indians are using brown rice in their cuisine. This is because it has less fat. It takes more time to cook brown rice than white rice.
