As of now, Jacinda Ardern is the new face of compassion and a woman who is setting new standards of world politics for other world leaders.

For those who are living under a rock, Jacinda Ardern is the current Prime Minister of New Zealand, who is receiving respect and love from all over the world for her smooth way of handling the terrorist attack of 15th March in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Ardern joined the Labour Party of New Zealand at a very young age to become its deputy leader in 2017. Shortly after that, she became the leader of the party in August 2017, and continuing her success streak and giving way to “Jacindamania”, became the youngest Prime Minister of New Zealand in 150 years. She is the youngest female Prime Minister New Zealand has ever had.

According to Andrew Burns, the former leader of the Labor Party, Ardern is not a traditional politician. She has her own way of connecting with the local public and has an authentic air about her which makes her sound convincing.

This all was evident in the speech she delivered after the terrorist attack at Christchurch, where she appeared wearing a hijab. She was compassion personified and her words poured like a soothing elixir into the ears of the victims. Her way of reassuring the victims that their grief is her grief and by refusing to acknowledge the terrorist thus devoiding him of any identity, she set some new examples of dealing with social and political problems on the national and international level.

Going to the usual intro of this great woman, her full name is Jacinda Kate Laurell Ardern and she was born on July 26, 1980, in Hamilton, New Zealand. Her father was New Zealand government’s high commissioner to the island of Niue and seeing the condition of the people of New Zealand, she decided to enter the politics at a very young age. She was just 17, doing her under graduation in Communication Studies when she joined the Labour Party.

Her success has made her stand on the world stage besides the world leaders such as Trudeau and Abe.
