Shah Rukh Khan's lineage traces back to a remarkable individual, his father, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan, who hailed from Peshawar, India, and stood as a devoted proponent of the Indian independence movement. Meer Taj Mohammed Khan's association with Abdul Ghaffar Khan and his allegiance to the Indian National Congress were emblematic of his unwavering commitment to India's struggle for freedom. Notably, he shared familial ties with Major General Shah Nawaz Khan of the Indian National Army, forging a legacy steeped in patriotism.

Born in 1919 in Peshawar, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan pursued his education at the esteemed Government College, Peshawar, and Aligarh Muslim University. Upon completing his studies, he wholeheartedly embraced the cause of Indian independence, venturing into nonviolent protests that led to several encounters with British incarceration.

The year 1947 ushered in a new era as India gained independence, prompting Meer Taj Mohammed Khan's migration to Delhi with his family. There, he embarked on a journey that fused business acumen with political engagement. As a member of the Indian National Congress, he contributed to the Delhi Municipal Corporation as a councilor.

Beyond his political pursuits, Meer Taj Mohammed Khan exemplified kindness and generosity, earning profound respect within his community. Tragically, he succumbed to cancer in 1981 when Shah Rukh Khan was just 15 years old.

Shah Rukh Khan often reflects on the profound influence his father wielded over his life. In the luminary's own words during a 2014 interview, "My father was my hero. He was the most honest, kind, and compassionate man I have ever met. He taught me everything I know about life. I miss him every day."

Shah Rukh Khan's meteoric rise to global stardom, with over a hundred films and 14 Filmfare Awards to his name, alongside successful ventures as an entrepreneur, stands as a testament to the enduring values instilled by his father. He serves as an inspiration to millions worldwide, a living embodiment of hard work, honesty, and compassion—a beacon of hope for aspiring individuals everywhere.
