With the Commonwealth realm, Queen Elizabeth II become the present Queen of England. She was born on 21 April 1926 and she ascended to the throne after her father, George VI, died on 6 February 1952. In preparation for her coronation at age 25 as a constitutional monarch of Australia and nowhere else in her Kingdom, during which she would be "Queen of all Britain", an elaborate plan had been drawn up by British Prime Minister Winston Churchill. He ordered that no publicity be given to this unprecedented event until just before it actually occurred.
