The title “World’s Strongest Man” is usually associated with winners of the official World's Strongest Man competition. In recent years, athletes like Mitchell Hooper, Tom Stoltman, and Hafthor Bjornsson have been among the most famous strongest men in the world.

Historically, many people also remember Mariusz Pudzianowski because he won the World’s Strongest Man title multiple times. The competition tests strength through events like truck pulling, deadlifts, stone lifting, and carrying extremely heavy objects. Honestly, the “strongest man” title changes over time because it depends on who wins the latest international strongman competitions.

You may know him by the name of “The Mountain” in "Game of Thrones". He is one of the infamous characters and rose to the fame to the strongest man in Westeros on the show.

But it is official now actor Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson is the world's strongest man.Recently, he won the world's strongest man contest in the Philippines in his eighth attempt.

In order to bag the title, Björnsson had to complete in several events: The car deadlift, max overhead lift, loading race, truck pull, frame carry and atlas stones. He took first place in the car deadlift, max overhead and loading race. He took second place in the truck pull, fourth in the frame carry and fifth in the atlas stones.

Björnsson is no stranger to the world's strongest man competition. In the past, he's won three second-place titles and three third-place titles. This year, Brian Shaw, who was the World's Strongest Man in 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2016, finished in third place, while last year's winner, Eddie Hall, did not compete.
