She had to face a lot of difficulties getting admission to Calcutta Medical College. Not only Ganguly #kadambiniganguly but Anandibai Joshi were hailed from Mumbai who was successful in obtaining a Medicine degree in 1886. And we also recognize both of them as India's first female doctors. This was considered the biggest achievement as girls were not allowed to go for higher education at that time. #kadambiniganguly and Chandramukhi Basu created history in that situation in 1883 becoming successful graduates.
