The popularity of T20 cricket is growing day by day and despite of being it is very popular, the test cricket is the one such format of cricket where every country and player hopes to gives their best. The test cricket is the real test of the player when playing for five days under the toughest conditions.

Reaching the landmark of 10000 runs in Test cricket is not everyone's cup of tea and only 11 batsmen have achieved this feat so far in their career. Scoring 10000 runs in Test cricket is considered to achieve a milestone and this milestone was first achieved by Indian batsmanSunil Gavaskar in march 1987 while playing a Test match against Pakistan.

Gavaskar scored 63 runs in that innings and passed 10000 runs landmark in his 124th test with 212 innings. For the next six years he remained the only batsman who had scored 10000 runs in Test cricket and in 1983 Allan Border of Australia equaled his record while playing against West Indies.

The God of cricket, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar is also the member of this notable group and he has achieved this feat in both Test and ODI cricket with the most number of runs 15,645 in Test cricket.
