I personally want Kings XI Punjab to win this edition of IPL. I mean, those people have worked extremely hard over the years without getting the right rewards. Three years back they came so close to winning, last year was their worst performance. So this year, although very underrated, I think there’s a good chance that they can surprise everyone. But the biggest problem is they don’t have Glenn Maxwell this time, although they did spent a whopping Rs 11 crore (costliest Indian player this year) to have KL Rahul in the squad
However, Punjab will only win if they manage to outperform Hyderabad and Chennai. While David Warner has been in a spectacular form as of late, the returning CSK is always known to give tough fights.
RCB under Virat Kohli can do well, but I am still skeptical to their decision of letting Chris Gayle go (He’s in KXIP now). Something in me says KKR won’t be able to deliver on all their hypes. Other teams are good too, of course, but there’s very less chance they would win the tournament.
