Huge Internet Outage, Some Of World's Biggest Sites Go Down

We all are well aware that our life is stagnant without the internet. Right! You will be shocked to know that some of the world's biggest sites went down last Tuesday i.e. 7th of June 2021. Right in the morning on Tuesday, social media, government, and several news websites were hit by multiple outages. A glitch at the US-based cloud computing services provider has been noticed.

Reuters couldn’t confirm the issue that was affecting some of the world’s biggest websites. Initially, it was reported that investigation of its potential impact on Fastly’s performance is on with their CDN services. Well, Fastly is one of the top content delivery networks.

Degradable performances were noticeable in most of Fastly's coverage areas.Amazon was also in a vulnerable condition as Amazon.com Inc's retail website was noticed to be down. Moreover, the authorities of Amazon were not immediately available for answering any questions.

There has been a report of issues by about 21000 Reddit users to the social media platform. Over 2000 users reported issues with Amazon following the outage monitoring website downdetector.com. According to this website, an outage was also experienced by Amazon's Twitch. The websites that are operated by the news website like the New York Times, the Financial Times, the Guardian also interacted with the outages.

So it is true to say that some of the world’s biggest sites had to face a huge internet outage this year. This news is shocking, unexpected, and disturbing as well in 2021.

Do not worry, as not the matter has been settled. Because the solution to fix the problem has been finally identified. Fastly have also reported that increased origin load may result due to the return of global services.
