Why are Google employees protesting against the Company’s CEO Sundar Pichai?

Over 3,100 employees of Google, including dozens of senior engineers have signed a letter to Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google that urges him, they are against his move for the pentagram program to design artificial intelligence technology for the US military.


The letter is doing the rounds inside Google and has garnered more than 3,100 signatures of employees. Employees are protesting against him because the artificial surveillance engine that uses data captured by drones to detect the vehicles movements will eventually provide results to the US army and government.


They believe that "Google should not be in the business of war".Google employees are circulating protest petitions on a large scale, including Google Plus and the company’s rival Facebook.
