The Internet services had to suspend in Rajasthan's Bundi aresa on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti in order to make communal peace and avert clashes between the Hindu and Muslim communities.
The government came up with this decision because people from both the communities tweeted about bringing weapons during the Hanuman Jayanti celebrations.
However, users can use broadband and leased lines services in that area but services like bulk SMSes, social media platforms and WhatsApp have been suspended.
