Why did Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble turn down BJP-s offer to stand in the upcoming assembly polls?

The two living legends Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble do not want their names to be associated with any political party because they both have had a very clean image since their cricket days and they do not want it to be tarnished.

BJP was trying to rope them for the upcoming Karnataka assembly polls to gain the support of the youth of the state. But, their plan failed as both of them rejected the offer to join the party.
