Why did Shimla Police lodge a complaint against the actor Jeetendra?

So far the year of 2018 has been full of Bollywood controversies and the veteran actor Jeetendra just joined the group. He has been in news for a while due to a sexual assault case that has been filed against him by his cousin.

According to a report, Shimla Police have lodged an FIR against the actor after his cousin lodge a complaint with them. The victim had written a letter to them explaining what happened 47 years ago in a hotel room of Shimla.

The letter says that the actor assaulted her in a hotel room when they were sharing a room together. She stated that she was 18 and the actor was 28 at that time. The victim is expected to record her statement before a magistrate and provide some evidence.

However, the advocate of Jeetendra has issued a statement that actor denies all the false accusations on him and he has nothing to do with it.
