Why does Ranveer Singh wear quirky outfits?

It has become a general opinion that Ranveer Singh’s dressing style is “quirky” or something which is far away from the normal. Such opinions yet again confirms the stereotypes that society, and even fashion world have created when it comes to dressing and styling: men will wear what is “manly” and women will look as “womanly” as possible.

We should take pleasure and feel proud that our film industry has at least someone who believes in breaking such stereotypes of masculinity or femininity, or even of the conformity to the social norms. Ranveer Singh has constantly been the target of bashers and meme makers for his dresses as if wearing a floral print garment would make him less masculine. We all should learn from Ranveer Singh how to keep a care free attitude towards the criticizers and how to follow our hearts instead of following societal constructs.

Apart of his acting skills, Ranveer Singh is known for his unusual styles of dressing in Bollywood. From wearing a skirt to a floral print blazer, he has tried his hands on a lot of unusual outfits.

On a lighter note, he is a dream come true for designers with a unique sense of design, because he can pull off any unusual outfit with much ease and confidence.

Coming back to your question, why he wears such quirky clothes is still a mystery for us. Some people think that he seeks attention and wants to get noticed all the time while other people think that he does everything for publicity. Remember the phrase? “Any Publicity is good Publicity”

However, I don’t think like that, maybe it is his personal choice to try new quirky outfits that we would think a hundred times before wearing them. Even he once said, "200 characters live inside my head. They just pop out." Looking at his style, we know that they do exist.

In a recent interview on being asked him about his fashion choice "cross-dress", he jokingly said that he would never cross-dress as that is a bit too extreme. Ranveer Singh had even once worn a skirt for an award show.
