Hyperuricemia is an more than acid within the blood. Most of it's excreted (removed from your body) in your urine, or passes through your intestines to manage "normal" levels.
Normal acid levels are 2.4-6.0 mg/dL (female) and three .4-7.0 mg/dL (male). Normal values will vary from laboratory to laboratory.
Also important to blood acid levels are purines. Purine breaks down into acid . Increased levels of acid from excess purines may accumulate in your tissues, and form crystals. this might cause high acid levels within the blood. Uric acid formation may occur when the blood acid level rises above 7 mg/dL. Problems, like kidney stones, and gout (collection of acid crystals within the joints, especially in your toes and fingers), may occur. But if your body makes an excessive amount of acid , or if your kidneys aren't working well, acid can build up within the blood. acid levels also can increase once you eat too many high-purine foods or take medicines like diuretics, aspirin, and niacin. Then crystals of acid can form and collect within the join.
