Incognito Mode is a setting on Chrome that prevents your web history from being stored. It also won't store cookies. Google could see information from before you logged in, but while you were in Incognito Mode it won't store any records.

Google Chrome is extensively used by millions of users and Incognito mode is one of the most commonly known and highly used privacy features of the chrome. There is a surprise to some users who use browsers’ private or incognito modes to surf privately. A large number of users have the same belief that incognito mode is truly private and it prevents the browser history from being recorded on their computer. However, Chrome Incognito isn’t completely safe and most people misunderstand the privacy protections it provides.

Before completely trusting your browser or those users who are concerned about privacy should find out what incognito mode can and can’t do.

Private browsing only means that the browser will not track you or your browsing history. But on the other side it is equal to normal browsing or you can say incognito doesn’t hide your browsing from your employer, your internet service provider, or the websites you visit. The browser isn’t the only spot on the internet where data resides or exchanged.

The data you send or receive can be read or used by a number of spots in the network.

Remember that with private browsing, your employer, your internet service provider still knows what sites you’ve connected to and they could have a record of your browsing history.

To keep an online life private “private” and “incognito” modes on their own aren’t enough. To keep your browsing completely private you’ll need additional measurements or apps which can offer you much better privacy protection.
