Recently, a music video is doing the rounds on the internet and frankly speaking, you can not unsee it because it features none other than Maharashtra CM, Devendra Fadnavisin it who is lip-syncing to a song that is sung by Sonu Nigam.
We usually have a very different image of our politicians and this one comes as a surprise for us. The MumbaiRiver Anthem, a T-Series production, sung by his wife, Amruta Fadnavis and Sonu Nigam, was released on YouTube on February 24 and since that day this music video is being shared all over the internet.
The opposition party Congress never misses a chance to dis BJP and they have targeted Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and his wife Amruta Fadnavis to know if the state government had any links with its producer.
Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) spokesperson, Sachin Sawant demanded that "Fadnavis should clarify if the government has links with T Series and If the government is not associated with this video, then Fadnavis should clarify what procedure was applied to select the company for making the video.
However, a CMO official told PTI, this is a social cause and not a single rupee of the Maharashtra government has been spent in making the video. The music video is about calling for support to save Mumbai's four rivers - Poisar, Dahisar, Oshiwara and Mithi and called Mumbai river anthem. Below is the link of the video:
