More than favorite, Pakistan Junior boys’ squash team is being deemed as unpredictable on the basis of its current performance in the world junior boys’ team squash championship. Until now, it was seen as a team performing poorly in the previous individual rounds. Being comparatively new and young, there wasn’t much expected from Pakistani players.

It was a surprising moment for India though, when it was beaten by the defending Pakistani team by 2-1 in pre-quarterfinals. The coach of the team, Mohammad Yasin, says his team is now more confident for its next match with England in the championship. He also remarked that they won as the Indian team squash player Rahul Baitha gave in to the pressure. The advantage that Haris Qasim took of it, got Pakistan its victory. Very unpredictable indeed!

The unpredictability of Pakistan’s victory also owes to the performance of India, which was not as good as was expected. Anyway, the world junior boys’ team squash championship would remain as enjoyable as ever with the following quarterfinals coming up:

Egypt vs. Hong Kong
Malaysia vs. Czech Republic
USA vs. Canada
Pakistan vs. England
