Why is the Canadian Prime Minister currently on a visit in India?

Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau is currently in India for a week long visit. He arrived last week on Saturday with his family. The visit comes at a time when both the nations are looking to strengthen their ties with each other. Canada has a huge Indian Diaspora. The visit will act as a great opportunity for the two countries to enhance investment, business and bilateral security ties. Trudeau and Prime Minister Modi are expected to focus on areas including civil nuclear cooperation, space, defense, energy and education. But before getting down to the actual business, a number of events and trips have been planned out for the Prime Minister and his family.

They visited the Taj mahal in Agra, and went to Akshardham and Sabarmati Ashram in Gujarat. These visits are the cultural component of PM Trudeau’s visit, seen as an outreach to the huge Indian Diaspora in Canada. In between he will also visit Mumbai to hold meetings with top business leaders and representatives from Indian film industry to discuss the future in cinema.

Though there are many speculations on his visit but lets look for positive outcome.
