The former captain of the Pakistani cricket team Shahid Afridi said that Pakistan does not want Kashmir as it cannot even take care of its four provinces. The retired cricketer made the statement while addressing the students at the British parliament. He further on said that the war between the two nations should be stopped for the sake of humanity as it's the people of Kashmir who are suffering from the rift. He said that makes Kashmir an independent nation and let the people over there live peacefully. He also stated that Pakistan is not even capable of taking care of its four provinces I.e. Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Balochistan. He is right in many ways as Pakistan has always been focusing on just Kashmir.
The Pakistani government is not properly focusing on the other shortcomings of the country like the Nation is having a poor literacy rate of 58%, the GDP is very less in comparison of other developing nations and most importantly the country is widely considered as a nation of terrorists. So, no tourist is willing to come to Pakistan. So, it's high time for Pakistan to give up its obsession for Kashmir and focus on the overall development of the nation.
