Kashmir issue has been there between India and Pakistan ever since, and it has now become a known story worldwide. Pakistan wants Kashmir and India won’t give it to them –it has become almost a fact today.

Former Pakistani cricket player Shahid Afridi however, has reversed the fact with his recent statement, much to everyone’s surprise. He recently addressed students in the British Parliament and professed for an “independent Kashmir”.
Letsdiskuss
According to Shahid Afridi, “Pakistan doesn’t want Kashmir”, and it should not remain with India either. Afridi thinks that for the sake of humanity Kashmir should be declared an independent state.
Well, let me make it clear that his words are not the representation of the nation he belongs to, but just of his own thoughts about how the ideal situation should be. Moreover, it’s hard to believe Pakistan would ever agree to such a settlement, and neither would India.
Shahid Afridi also said that Pakistan doesn’t want Kashmir as it can’t even take care of the four provinces it has, which sounded more like Pakistan doesn’t deserve Kashmir. Hope he doesn’t get thrashed in Pakistan for this statement like he was earlier when he commented that he gets more love in India than in Pakistan.
Anyhow, amidst all the India-Pakistan conflict which has taken its toll on cricketers and artists even, it’s a sane and unbiased advice that Shahid Afridi has offered to both the nations.
