Why there were only two Bollywood celebs present at Priyanka Chopra’s bridal shower?

Yes we can say that Priyanka Chopra’s bridal shower in NYC was all Hollywoodian. To start with, the party was thrown by two of Priyanka’s closest friends, actress Mubina Rattonsey and her agent Anjula Acharia. Moreover, the pre-wedding bash took place at the Blue Box Café, in association with Tiffany and Co. in the New York City. And the major highlight of the party was not any big Bollywood face, but the Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o, Priyanka’s mother-in-law-to-be, Denise Jonas, and her mother Madhu Chopra.
Apart from these celebs, Neetu Kapoor and Sonali Bendre attended Priyanka Chopra’s bridal shower as the former is currently in New York on the account of her husband Rishi Kapoor’s treatment, and Sonali Bendre is getting her cancer treated at the Big Apple.
Priyanka Chopra’s bridal shower however, was devoid of many Bollywood faces but that according to me is quite obvious. It is a thing of common sense that an exclusive party hosted only a handful of guests and only those who were in NYC at that time. It was no “traditional” celebration for which Bollywood celebs would have flown all the way from India. Those who were there in New York were invited duly. Neetu Kapoor even shared her picture with Priyanka and Sonali on Instagram.
What was controversial though was Priyanka’s Marchesa labelled white feathered gown, the label owned by Georgina Chapman, the ex-wife of disgraced Bollywood celebrity Harvey Weinstein. Priyanka wore the jewelry worth Rs. 10 crore for her bridal shower.
As everything went quote well, Priyanka Chopra’s bridal shower was no less than a fairy tale come true and Bollywood celebs sent their blessings for the couple who are going to tie the knot this December in India, where of course, the whole Bollywood is expected to be present.
