GPS stands for Global Positioning System. It is a navigation device used for tracking the location. It originates from United states. It has a full coverage area of globe. It was fist launched in February 22, 1978. It's main applications are civilian and military. Many civilians activities include studying atmosphere, astronomy, automated vehicle, aircraft tracking, navigation, robotics, surveying, etc can be done on the basis of GPS. In military areas, target tracking, navigation, military aircraft,etc use GPS method.
