3. The WPE was supposed to be a four-lane expressway connecting Kundli in Sonipat to Palwal near Faridabad, but later it was changed to a six-lane expressway.

4. The KMP expressway has cost Rs 9000 Crore, which includes the cost of construction and land.

5. The KMP expressway has an ambulance, a crane, and a police patrol vehicle after every 20 kms. It also has parking lots, refilling stations, police stations, a trauma centre, helipad, refreshment centres, and some entertainment facilities.

7. The expressway is connecting five districts –Sonipat, Jhajjar, Gurugram, Mewat, and Palwal.

8. The environment-friendly grass with deep and long roots called Vetiver or Khus has been planted to prevent mudslides on the expressway.

9. The expressway has been bedecked with the shrubs of various trees, and historical and cultural monuments.
