Can we make something different with capsicum?



You might get surprised about how many different dishes we can make with capsicum. The flavor and taste of capsicum are not only the foodies’ but also the chefs’ delight.

Capsicum is giving potato a tough competition, when it comes to accompanying other vegetables and featuring in junk food, since long.

One dish which is quite different, and also my favorite is the Capsicum Koftas.


• Capsicum (grated): 3
• Potato (boiled and mashed): 2
• Gram flour: 1 cup
• Tomato (grated): 2
• Onion (grated): 2
• Green chili (grated): 2
• Ginger-garlic paste: 2 tablespoons
• Salt: according to taste
• Red chili powder: ½ teaspoon
• Turmeric: ½ teaspoon
• Coriander powder: 1 tablespoon
• Garam Masala Powder: 1 tablespoon
• Cumin: 1 teaspoon
• Celery: 1 teaspoon
• Edible oil: as per requirement


• Take a bowl and mix capsicum, mashed potatoes, salt, and gram flour in it.

• Heat oil in a deep frying oil and deep fry small balls of the prepared mixture.

• Heat 2 tablespoon of oil in another pan and fry cumin, celery, and green chili in it.

• Now add onion and ginger-garlic paste, and mix well.

• When the masala is cooked enough, add tomatoes to it.

• Now add salt, red chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, and Garam Masala. Add some water at the last.

• Let the gravy cook for some time, and then add the koftas (fritters) prepared into it.

• Cook for five minutes and turn off the gas.
