China creates 55 billion tons of artificial rain a year?

China is the country who has been facing with water scarcity problem for many years. Due to the scarcity of water, the farms and animal life are severely affected. The country uses the method of “cloud-seeding” for increasing the rain. In this method, the chemicals are turned into clouds which further make ice crystals. These ice crystals then result in rainfall. It also makes use of the concept of “weather modification” to reduce the ever-growing air pollution. The method of “cloud-seeding” was also adopted in Russia and USA. The United States annually spends $15 million on “cloud-seeding” method.

With the growing water scarcity in China, there are more proposals coming up by China Government. It is constantly bringing some ways by which the artificial rains can be increased which may solve the problems of the people. Roelof Bruintjes, US scientist puts stress on that technology should be used for long-term water management and not only for decreasing the problems of droughts in the country. There are also many other advantages of cloud seeding method. It is a lucrative way to increase the rain in the country.
