There is no evidence that Deepika Padukone copied Anushka Sharma's bridal look. Both actresses wore elegant, traditional bridal outfits that reflected timeless Indian wedding fashion, but each had a distinct style.

• Deepika Padukone wore rich red and gold traditional ensembles that reflected classic South Indian and Sindhi wedding traditions.

This is what’s being said about the newly married Deepika Padukone. Right from the location of the wedding to the change of her look after wedding, a lot bears resemblance to Anushka Sharma. It may be because of the same designer –Sabyasachi. He was the one who designed the bridal dresses and the reception clothes of both the Bollywood brides. And we just cannot blame Deepika to choose the same designer as Anushka. Wearing Sabyasachi on her special day is the dream of every woman. So much of the resemblance owes to the designer and not the intentional copying.

Appearing in a golden saree, Deepika had a lot in common with Anushka Sharma on her reception –from hairstyle to jewellery. Many fans even found the similarities quite uncanny. Quite unfortunate that the designer failed to create a new look for Deepika Padukone and she ended up looking so much like Anushka. This must have diluted the excitement of a Sabyasachi look even for her.  
 
It is not only Anushka Sharma to which she shared her look. Her saree was entirely like what Kangana Ranaut wore at the reception of Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli (really a lol moment for Deepika!). Well, as you must have guessed, Kangana also wore a Sabyasachi.  
 
What followed on internet were the trolls of not only Deepika, but of Sabyasachi as well. Well, this was expected after all the hopes of Deepika’s exceptional bridal look that her fans were having. After getting married so secretly in Italy, everyone was hoping to see the best look of this new bride, but all they got was a sequel of Anushka Sharma.
 
Sabyasachi, it’s high time you come up with some new and creative designs.
