Digital marketing does not involve any coding. The majority of the roles are strategy related, content creation, social media, SEO, email marketing, and campaign management although not programming. There are also a lot of tools and platforms that are user-friendly and accessible to non-technical users, and thus you do not need to write a code to be a good marketer.

Simple web care such as updating landing pages or content on WordPress is typically included in training programs. These are simple drag and drop editors or visual interfaces, which are simple to learn and do not need any knowledge of codes. It may be useful to know the workings of websites on a technical level, and technical competence is not of great importance.

It is more significant to learn how to use digital marketing tools and analytics platforms instead of learning how to code. Such competencies as writing a catchy content, advertising campaigns, search engine optimization, and data analysis will be far more relevant to your career than coding. Coding is an added advantage when you are interested in entering the world of web development or technical SEO, but it is not a prerequisite to becoming a successful in the profession.

For the majority of positions in digital marketing, coding is not necessary. Without writing a single line of code, you can manage social media, run advertisements, produce content, and take care of SEO fundamentals. On the other hand, knowing a little bit about HTML, CSS, or how websites operate helps streamline your job and speed up the resolution of minor problems.
