Respect is an emotion that comes genuinely for someone whom you look up to for their hard work and achievements. Respect can also arise for someone whose qualities you admire and wish you had it. It is a feeling that you show towards elders too. But respect cannot be earned and you have to work hard to rise up in someone’s eyes or in a society with your good deeds and actions. Respecting others will invariably result in people giving respect back. Keeping promises orcommitments would lead to people’s respect. Helping someone in need will lead to good vibes and respect for you in the society. Admitting ones mistakes in life and willingness to correct ones mistakes would always garner respect from others. Somebody who lives and let others also live peacefully will have genuine supporters around him. Bosses who communicate well, who doesn’t judge anyone and who are always willing to understand and motivate subordinates are loved and supported in any organization.

Accepting and acknowledging somebody for who they are even when you don't agree with their views of life is giving respect to any individual. Lack of respect leads to fights and disagreements in society, family or individual levels. This can disturb the life of the individual with frustration and depressive behaviours. But respect cannot be demanded and it has to be earned by being good to others and by creating a positive impact in the society with your actions. Respect is all about getting back what you give to others.
Being hardworking, truthful and trustworthy are always respectful qualities which people admire. Good behavior, polite nature and kind humans are loved and respected in every walks of life. Conducting oneself in a dignified manner ,having control over ones temper in public , valuing others feelings and making decisions based on what is right are deeds worthy of respect. Listening to others opinions and avoiding gossips and hurtful behavior are also positive and responsible behavior.
