Start with identifying exactly what you want the virtual assistant to handle, a vague job post always results in a poor selection of candidates.
My recipe:
-
Create a list of 5–10 things that the VA will be doing every week.
-
Make short Loom video tutorials on how you do these tasks.
-
Start with a small paid project before deciding on a VA from an interview.
-
Assess their communication skills just like technical ones, slightly less experienced but good at asking questions VA will be way easier to work with than overly confident one.
And do not give access to everything on day one. Use a password manager and gradually increase their permissions.
