Is Fantastic Beasts is the best movie 2018?

It’s far from the best! In fact, it’s not even good enough to be counted along with other Harry Potter movies. I know it’s a little heartbreaking for Potterheads who had been waiting for Fantastic Beasts Crimes of Grindelwald since a long time, but that’s how it turns out to be.

I had my expectations very low since the release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, since the movie did no good to the legacy of the Wizarding World that J. K. Rowling has created worldwide. The American wizarding community and Newt Scamander’s Fantastic Beasts failed to have that Hogwartsian impact on the audience.

Even after that I was looking forward to Fantastic Beasts Crimes of Grindelwald, majorly for two reasons: one, the young Albus Dumbledore and two, Johnny Depp playing the most vicious wizards of all time. The trailer looked rather promising:

But unfortunately, the movie is not even tolerable for the die-hard Potterheads at some points. With so many inessential characters, sub-plots, and dots connecting the event of Fantastic Beasts to the Harry Potter movies, the movie takes you nowhere really, and should not even be compared with the excellent Harry Potter movies.

This movie, along with the drama The Child’s Curse and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them, makes me wonder if J. K. Rowling is not getting overrated in the popular culture. I think this gave way to her overconfidence with Harry Potter’s extensions and consequently, to such heartbreaking blunders.

Really Rowling, we never expected this from you! Even the director David Yates, and actors Johnny Depp and Jude Law failed to hide the confusing and scattered plotline that J. K. Rowling has created in the name of a Harry Potter extension.
