People who don't follow WWE also know who John Cena is and people who follow WWE know he is a legend. Still, to clear any kind of ambiguity I should give a brief intro. John Cena is a WWE wrestler, Hollywood actor, rapper, and television host.

He is known as one of the best wrestlers in the history of WWE. He is 16 times world champion, five-time United States Champion, and four-time world tag team champion.

John was out of the ring from quite sometimes because of his due to his Hollywood commitments. Since then his fans are missing their superstar. But the wait is now over because John Cena himself updated WWE Universe. He said that his comeback match would be at the Madison Square Garden.
Cena was out of the ring as he was shooting for his Hollywood movie with the great Jackie Chan in China. Now its confirmed that the shooting has been completed.

John understands that his fans are eagerly waiting for him to come back in the ring. He chose Twitter to address his fans and WWE universe and tweeted this, “160 days ago I landed in (China) to film w @EyeOfJackieChan today is the final day of that project. An experience I’ll never forget. I’ll have 1 day home then to promote @bumblebeemovie until it’s release 12/21 then, I truly return home @WWE @TheGarden 12/26 #HLR #NeverGiveUp.”

So, yes it is true that 16-Time World Champion John Cena is returning to the ring. All WWE fans are very excited about it.

John Cena has taken a break from WWE. He has several TV ventures going on, yet, likely, he's drained. He's fit as a fiddle, yet at the same time, he's more than 40 and was the consistently face of the WWE for over 10 years. The talk is they need to give him a chance to rest up after his 'embarrassing' misfortune to Undertaker at Wrestlemania. He has tied Rick Flair as a 16 time champion, so given him a chance to rest up and return later in the year for a push to give him a chance to wind up a 17 time champ. At that point he'll pull a Rock and vanish with a couple of appearances. Inevitably, he will 'authoritatively' resign and go into the corridor of popularity.
