Coming back to Taj Mahal being Hindu temple. It is true that Taj Mahal is indeed Shiva Temple. Taj Mahal was built renovating basic structure of Hindu Palace whose remnants can be found behind and beneath Taj Mahal. One of the most exhaustive evidences that can be found about Taj Mahal can be read here ... Researched a lot and found only these two links that give details on the artifacts, materials and proofs which reveal that Taj Mahal is indeed Hindu temple.

Author P. N. Oak states that Taj Mahal was once Tejo Mahalay, a temple of Lord Shiva, built in 1155. He postulated, in his 1989 book Taj Mahal: The True Story, that Taj Mahal is not an Islamic mausoleum but an ancient Hindu temple originally.

On the basis of more such claims, the Indian government was in the middle of the row about the origins of this Indian monument situated in Agra.

According to the known historical facts, Taj Mahal was built by Emperor Shahjahan for his dying wife Mumtaz whose grave is there in the tomb. As of now, only Muslims are allowed to pray there in the mosque attached to Taj Mahal.

However, there was a petition submitted in Agra Court according to which it is a temple belonging to a Hindu deity, instead of the resting place of the Muslim queen and king. The petition demanded that Hindus should be allowed to worship in it.

I personally take is nothing more than another attempt of the forced Hinduization, just like that of Babri Masjid and Allahabad. Seriously, the authoritarian attitude of the Indian government knows no bounds.

This is a ridiculous excerpt from a report on The Guardian:

Hari Shankar Jain, one of the lawyers who took the case to the Agra court, had said he was looking forward to winning the case and performing Hindu prayers at the Taj Mahal. Asked if he would disinter the body of Mumtaz Mahal, the Mughal empress buried inside, he replied: “Of course not because there is nobody inside. It’s built on a Hindu temple so there is no question of anyone being buried in it.”

Another reason why BJP should not come into power in 2019 elections.
