The award-winning director, James Cameron spilled some beans about the much-anticipated sequel of Avatar, which is going to hit theatres in December 2020.

What he revealed in his interview with Empire was not only related to the plot of the movie, but also about the popular actors who auditioned for the coveted lead roles, and the actors whom will see alongside the ones reprising their roles in the first movie.

Now all this has got the fans like me already waiting for the movie as if it is just a few months ahead (I am now almost as excited for the sequel of Avatar as I am for Avengers: Endgame).

First things first, let’s talk about the plot which is going to get more intense and personal in the sequel.

According to Avatar director James Cameron, there is going to be the 8-year-old daughter of the lead couple Jake and Neytiri. The director revealed that he has just wound up shooting a very critical and crucial scene of the movie which relates to an argument related to this daughter. So the anticipations are that the movie will revolve around an extra-marital conflict which will take the saga further.

The film about which Cameron talked about is shot from the point of view of the daughter who is sneaking into this personal conversation between the couple.

And now comes the more exciting part, the cast. To the interest of all the Titanic fans, Kate Winslet and Cameron are getting together again to re-create that magic for us in Avatar 2.

The other new actors which will be seen in the movie are Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, Britain Dalton, Filip Geljo, Jamie Flatters, Bailey Bass, Trinity Bliss, Jack Champion, Duane Evans Jr., and Edie Falco.

One more thing that Cameron revealed about the movie is the names of two shining stars who auditioned for the role of Jake in the movie but lost it to Sam Worthington. Those two actors are Channing Tatum and Chris Evans.

If you ask me, I can’t now even imagine Jake being played by someone else. And Chris Evans is better as my Captain America.

Anyhow, now that the five movies in the Avatar franchise have already been announced till the year 2025, I am awaiting the saga to unfold even more eagerly and curiously.
