The learning and the skill set acquired in one field can be helpful in acquiring knowledge and skills in another field only when there are favorable circumstances for it. It means more the favorable circumstances, more the transfer takes place. It depends on several points:
1) When the curriculum of education for any level is according to the age, maturity, aptitude and ability of the learners and is related to their life.
2) When general intelligence of the learners is more. The more is the general intelligence in learners, the more general ability is developed in them and the more transfer of learning occurs.
3) When the learners have gained the mastery over the previously acquired knowledge and skills, they use that to learn and new set of skills and knowledge.
4) When the learners are motivated from the transfer of learning and have willingness for it. When the learners are not yet ready to use their previous knowledge, they cannot transfer their learning.
5) When ideals and values have been developed in learners in proper measure. Ideals and values provide a stable form to individual behavior.
So, there are these conditions which needs to be fulfilled for accomplishing the transfer of learning.
