There are mainly four types of blockchains: public, private, consortium, and hybrid. Public blockchains like Bitcoin and Ethereum are open to anyone and fully decentralized. Private blockchains are controlled by a single organization and are often used by companies for internal systems. Consortium blockchains are managed by a group of organizations that share control of the network. Hybrid blockchains combine features of both public and private systems, giving organizations more flexibility while still maintaining some transparency.
