SEBI has been invested with following powers-
1. Power to impose monetary penalties.
2. Delicate power exercisable by it.
3. Impose fees and other charges on the information is for performing its functions.
4. Post certain companies to list their shares in one or more stock exchange.
5. To enquire the stock exchange to amend their by laws.
6. To approve by laws of stock exchange, SEBI.
7. Inspect the book of account and call for preodical return from recognised stock exchange.
