This beauty…
Just when you thought Apple iPhone X was the ‘it’ smartphone in 2018, Samsung overdid that with its Galaxy Note 9.
How can you not fall in love with this device! Indeed, its in-depth performance review hasn’t yet come out (the phone is expected to be on sale on August 24), it looks is outstandingly flattering. And not to forget the sexy S Pen.
The phone can very well be the ‘Smartphone of the year’.
But then again, there are many more launches expected this year that can totally surprise Apple and Samsung, the two flagbearers in the premium segment.
After shaking the premium segment with previous versions, a lot is expected from OnePlus and its OnePlus 7 launch. If rumors are to be believed, this phone can literally set the standards much higher for the other Smartphones in 2018. Neither its launch date nor the price is yet confirmed. However, many expect its launch before the year winds up.
Nokia, too, is all prepped up to test its market dominance with multiple launches, including X6 that is expected to be priced at Rs 20,000.
What are your thoughts on a display notch on OnePlus6 ?
Also, after making a dent in the market with its previous launches, eyes are even on Vivo NEX S, a premium phone that is expected to be priced at around Rs 49,000.
Aside from these, other emerging brands, too, are hoping to bank on the festive season that begins on October and woo the consumers at the middle and lower-end. Oppo, Xiaomi, Honor, and LG—all of them have their Smartphones in 2018 lined up for grand launches.
Google Pixel 3 and 3XL, too, are expected to come in the market in September or October. However, personally, I am really looking forward to the Blackberry Smartphones. A brand that has been dead for long, how will it come back to life. The company will be introducing many phones this year. Blackberry Ghost, Evolve X, and KEY2 are already my favorite.

In short, if you’re looking for a new Smartphone in 2018 or an upgrade, despite your budget, by the end of the year, you will have a pool of options to choose from.
Though I am a loyal Apple customer myself and shall remain so…..
