CCTV stands for Closed-circuit televisions. It is also known as video surveillance. It is used for video cameras to transmit a signal to a specific place, on a limited set of monitors. It differs from broadcast television in that the signal is not openly transmitted. Now-a-days, it is easily and cheaply available in every sectors.
