There are two major types of servers in the world: Windows and Linux servers. This article will help you understand the differences between a Windows server and a Linux server, in order to give you a better idea of what type of service may be right for your business.

Windows Server is an operating system from Microsoft that can be used to power a network with multiple users, called "workgroup". A workgroup is typically designed for file sharing among colleagues or friends. In this case, when an individual joins that workgroup, they have access to all files on the computer as well as share files. Users also have their own user folder where they can make changes without affecting others within the same workgroup.
