A lot of people think about emigration as a one-way ticket out of a country. However, it's not always that simple. Emigration is the process of resettling in a different country. This could be for many reasons: to find better opportunities, to find work, to be closer to family abroad or just because they want a change from their current life.
Many emigrants are looking for improved economic opportunities but there may be other factors such as wars, discrimination , political instability , natural disasters , or environmental degradation . The United Nations defines forced migration as "the movement of people away from their homes and communities under duress."
