ISKCON, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, is a prominent global spiritual organization established in 1966 by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. It is colloquially referred to as the Hare Krishna movement, recognizable for its devotees' rhythmic chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra.

At its core, ISKCON is rooted in the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, a revered Hindu scripture. The central tenet of the movement is unwavering devotion to Lord Krishna as the Supreme Being. ISKCON promotes a devout and structured way of life, advocating vegetarianism, meditation, and the continuous recitation of the Hare Krishna mantra as a path to attaining spiritual enlightenment.

Throughout the world, ISKCON maintains a network of temples, centers, and communities. Within these spaces, adherents live out their faith, engage in acts of service, and disseminate their spiritual message. ISKCON's influence extends far beyond its origins, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of contemporary spirituality.
