NASA stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration. It is formed on 29 July, 1958 at United States. It's headquarter is situated in Washington, D.C. It is under the jurisdiction of United States Federal Government. It is responsible for the civilian space program, as well as aeronautics and space research. Since its establishment, most US space exploration efforts have been led by NASA, including the Apollo Moon landing missions, the Skylab space station, and later the Space Shuttle.
