Most companies already have risk management in corporate oversight functions, that has such as finance or insurance. In addition, there may be specialist risk units: For example investment banks usually has market risk management units, why energy companies have commodity risk managers. The appointment of Chief risk officer and the establishment of an enterprise risk function provide the top-down coordination necessary to make this various functions work cohesively and effectively. An integrated team can better dress not only the individual risk facing the company but also the interdependencies between these risks.Smiley face

Organisational effectiveness refers to doing the functions of the organisation effectively. By effectiveness we mean doing the work in the limited time or within the stipulated time so as to properly exploit the different opportunities available to the business.

The functions of the organisation can be done within the stipulated time if the proper work is assigned to competent worker or in other words, right man is placed at the right job.

The various functions in the organisation include Planning, Organising, Staffing, Directing and Controlling. Thus doing all the functions within the minimum possible time can lead to the organisational effectiveness.

However, the organisational effectiveness must be distinguished from organisational efficiency. Where effectiveness means doing the work within the minimum possible time, efficiency means doing that with the minimum possible cost. Organisational effectiveness can be seen from the organisational structure and hierarchy and is inbuilt culture in some organisations.

Organisational effectiveness can be improved by imparting proper on the job and off the job trainings to the employees. Moreover the employees may be motivated to improve the effectiveness by giving them the various intrinsic as well as extrinsic benefits and perks.
