The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V comes with a race-tuned slipper clutch, which is one of the bike’s most popular performance features. A slipper clutch mainly helps during aggressive downshifting by preventing rear wheel hopping and improving bike stability. It also makes clutch operation lighter and smoother, especially in city traffic and sporty riding situations. TVS claims that the system reduces clutch effort by around 22%, making gear shifts quicker and easier.

The feature is inspired by racing technology and is especially useful while cornering or riding at higher speeds. Honestly, many riders like the Apache RTR 200 4V because this feature gives the bike a more premium and sporty riding feel compared to many regular commuter motorcycles.

The leading two wheeler TVS always comes with unique features to enhance the performance of their bikes and they have recently, launched a new version of the Apache RTR 200 4V in India that is equipped with a slipper clutch.

This is the first bike in its segment that has got such a unique feature. The slipper clutch increases the performance of the bike and gives a rider smooth ride.

This feature works on the principle of friction and reduces 22% friction in clutch force for the up-shifts that allows the rider to post better lap times. The slipper clutch also reduces wheel-hopping while doing high-speed downshifts. The Apache 200 4V is the first bike from TVS to get a slipper clutch.

The bike is available in three models–Rs. 95185 (Carburetor), Rs. 107885 (EFI) and Rs. 108985 (Carburetor with ABS), (Ex-showroom Delhi).

The new TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is one of the most talked-about bikes on the market today. This modern-looking bike is a performance bike that talks a good game, and it's got some high-tech features to match. This is how slipper clutch can make all the difference:
A slipper clutch allows for easy changing of gears and low-effort deceleration. The principle behind them is simple, but it does take some time to get used to! When you're going up a hill or squeezing between cars at slow speeds, for example, your engine crankshaft is spinning fast enough that it could pull your gear lever off of the gears if you're not careful.
