IAS is a top-ranking civil service job that is only available to the most qualified people. Responsibilities include management of an area, district, or department. They must submit ideas for the development of their respective sectors, and they are granted executive authority to implement all programs and make major decisions. IPS candidates, on the other hand, are expected to keep society in order. IAS officials assist in government administration, policy development, and implementation. The IPS officer, on the other hand, is responsible for investigating crime and maintaining order in the region where they are assigned.
