CTET has 2 papers- For Paper 1, candidates must have passed senior secondary education along with a 2 year diploma in elementary education. To be eligible for Paper 2, a graduation degree is mandatory along with a B.Ed. degree. Final-year students of these programs are also eligible to apply. CBSE has made these eligibility criteria in place so that only those candidates appear for the exam who have foundational teaching skills for primary and upper-primary classes.
